Visit of Trsteno Arboretum (duration approx. 1,5 hrs) “When you play the game of thrones, you win or you die. There is no middle ground. “ Cersei Lannister Trsteno Arboretum, located about 24 km (15 miles) from Dubrovnik, was used as the setting in the Game of Thrones Seasons 3&4. It is mostly associated with the scenes involving the powerful family from the Reach, the Tyrells which made it earn the famous nickname the “Tyrell (High)Garden”. Aside from its Game of Thrones appeal, the Arboretum is truly a hidden gem, well worth a visit in case you happen to be in Dubrovnik. Visit of Ston (duration approx. 1 hr) The 5-kilometre-long defensive Walls of Ston, a small town some 60 kilometers west of Dubrovnik are also seen in the show, as they help create the illusion of the walls of King’s Landing. Your local guide will discuss information from the Game of Thrones, where you will learn not only everything about filming locations, but recall incredible tales of legend and local history that could come right out of the books as well, to help you perceive the history and customs of Split city. Many scenes taking place in the Meereen took place in Diocletian’s Palace in Split. The cellars of the palace were especially popular, and this is where Daenerys’ throne is located. Proceed towards Klis fortress – that represents the city of Meereen that Daenarys conquers. Besides the filming location itself, our guide will provide you with the history of the fortress that is no less intriguing and fascinating. At the end, visit Trogir, a tiny historic town with beautiful churches, palaces and narrow streets set within medieval walls and close to Split on Croatia’s Adriatic coast. The town doubles as the trading harbour of Qarth described as ‘The greatest city that ever was or will be’. St. Dominic’s Monastery houses many of the scenes shot in the town. Trogir featured in Season 2, Episode 6 ‘The Old Gods and the New’ where the Warlocks of Qarth stole Daenerys dragons and she finds her guards dead. Overnight at the hotel in Split area.

The UNESCO World Heritage Site, St James Cathedral, doubles as The Iron Bank, the most powerful financial institution in the Free World. It’s in Season 5, Episode 9 ‘The Dance of Dragons’ where Ayra Stark abandons a mission for the Faceless Men and instead follows Mace Tyrell and Meryn Trant as they pay a visit to Tycho Nestoris to negotiate on the repayment of the crown’s massive debts. After Šibenik, proceed to Krka National Park (duration approx. 30 mins) Visit of Krka National Park (duration approx. 2 hrs) Krka National Park is the backdrop to numerous outdoor scenes when it was used as Westeros. The cascading waterfalls are stunning and worth a visit in their own right! Used for filming scenes throughout Westeros, it featured in Season 4, Episode 3 ‘Breaker of Chains’ when Arya and the Hound cross the Riverlands. Return to Split. Float in Stiniva Cove, taking in the towering cliffs that encircle you. Strap on your diving mask and explore a thriving underwater world by Budikovac Island before visiting Palmižana Bay. Sign off your day with a stroll through the quaint streets of Hvar Town, lined with Venetian palaces, a palm-dotted seafront, and bustling squares. On her conquest of Slaver’s Bay, as shocked and angered as Daenerys was upon witnessing the evil doing of the Meereen slave owners, she couldn’t help but pause and take comfort in the magnificent seaside view that was laid in front of her. Meet the sunniest place in Europe, the lovely island of Hvar, a favourite destination to those who know how to travel 3 well, and a perfect backdrop to the Game of Thrones. A peaceful retreat, or perhaps Slaver’s Bay? The island’s capital is an ancient town of the same name, rich with history and a thriving art scene. Overnight at the hotel in Split area.
