In our 11N/12D birdwatching tour, we cover some of the best places in Kumaon Himalayas beginning from the one of India’s best national parks, Corbett. Abound with a wide variety of birds, Corbett is the perfect place to start an exciting journey looking for exotic bird species. Our itinerary includes plan to visit Pangot, quaint Sattal, stunning Binsar and the gorgeous Mukteshwar.

Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrive Delhi

On arrival at the airport, you will be greeted by our representative who will help you with check in at the hotel. Overnight stay.

Day 2 : Delhi – Corbett National Park (270 Kms)

In the morning, you will be driven to Corbett National Park. The last two hours of this drive shall entail birding and wildlife viewing. On arrival, check in at a resort. Evening will be free to explore the surroundings of Corbett National Park. Overnight stay at the resort.

Day 3 : Corbett National Park

Today, both in the morning and afternoon, we shall visit the grasslands and forested area for birding that will include bird watching in the lower jungle track along the Ramganga River. You are likely to spot birds like lapwings, waders, mergansers and other waterfowl. Overnight stay at the jungle resort.

Day 4 : Corbett National Park

After the breakfast, we shall head for bird watching and if possible will be able to get a glimpse of a wide range of birds like Lammergeier, Blue Winged Minla, Puff-throated Babbler and White rumped Shama as well. Overnight at the resort.

Day 5 : Corbett National Park – Pangot

Today, early in the morning, we shall drive to Pangot (Nainital). The journey will take around 2 -3 hrs. Pangot is a small village which lies in the north-western range of Nainital. On arrival, you can rest at the booked wildlife cottage. In the evening, you can choose to take a nature walk in the dense forest. Overnight at Pangot.

Day 6 : Corbett National Park

A full day will be dedicated to birding at Naina Peak, Kilbury and Timla Pani. Overnight at Birding Lodge in Pangot.

Day 7 : Pangot

Today, we shall go for birding at Pangot village, Baggar and Gughu Khan, where one can spot birds like crested serpent-eagle, mountain hawk-eagle, woodpeckers such as brown-fronted, stripe-breasted, rufous-bellied etc. Overnight stay at the lodge in Pangot.

Day 8 : Pangot – Sattal (45 Kms)

In the morning today, we shall drive to Sattal. We will conduct a birdwatching tour along the way as the entire drive is through the forested area of Naina Peak Range via Snow View Point and Kilbury. On arrival, birding around Sattal. Overnight stay at a booked resort.

Day 9 : Sat Tal – Mukteshwar (60 Kms)

We shall be driving to Mukteshwar from Sattal today and will enjoy birding along the way. On arrival, check-in at the resort. Evening will be free to explore the natural beauty of the surrounding forest area.

Day 10 : Mukteshwar – Binsar (75 Kms)

In the morning, we will drive to Binsar which has a bird sanctuary. The place along with being home to a large number of birds offers spectacular views of the snow-capped Himalayan Ranges and peaks like that of Nanda Devi, Kedarnath, Chaukhamba, Trishul, Panchachuli and Nanda Kot. Overnight stay at the resort.

Day 11 : Binsar

Today, we shall dedicate an entire day to bird watching at Binsar Bird Sanctuary. Overnight stay in the resort.

Day 12  : Binsar – Delhi (365 Kms)

Post breakfast, you will be driven back to Delhi. On arrival, transfer to the airport to board the flight for onward destination.
