Itinerary

Day 1  : Arrive Bangalore

Upon arrival at Bangalore airport meet with our representative and transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 2  : Bangalore – Mysore

After breakfast half day city sightseeing tour of Bangalore visiting gardens, the Vidhan Sabha that houses the State’s Legislature and Secretariat, the Nandi Temple that is one of oldest temples in India and is popularly known as the Bull temple. Later drive to Mysore, en-route visiting Srirangapatnam, the capital of warrior King Hyder Ali and his son Tipu Sultan. It has a number of magnificent monuments that are important tourist destinations and are well worth a visit. Further drive to Mysore, upon reaching check into the hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 3  : Mysore – Bandipur

After breakfast sightseeing tour of Mysore. Mysore is the imperial city which was the erstwhile capital of the Wodeyars. The legend takes its name from a famous demon called Mahishasura, a great warrior who ruled as a tyrant until he was killed by the goddess Chamundeshwari. Chamundeshwari temple perched on a hilltop is 2000 years old, Nandi Bull halfway to the hill is a 4.8 meter monolith. 19 km north-west of Mysore is the KRS Dam and the ornamental Brindavan Gardens. The musical fountains and colourful lights transform this place into a fairlyland.

Later in the evening drive to Bandipur. Upon arrival check into the wildlife resort. Overnight stay at resort.

Day 4  : Bandipur

Morning and afternoon jungle safari to the national park for wildlife viewing. The prominent wildlife here include the Asian elephant, bonnet macaque, jungle cat, wild boar, chital, gaur, squirrel, golden jackal, grey mongoose, Bengal fox, ruddy mongoose, pangolin, tiger, fox, grizzled, sloth bear, leopard cat, Mongoose, lion-tailed macaque, leopard etc. Bandipur is also inhabited by a variety of birds making it a unique destination, a must visit for a birds lover. Overnight stay at resort.

Day 5  : Bandipur – Wayanad

Morning we will go nature trek within the premises of the forest. Later return to the resort for breakfast. After breakfast leave for Wayanad. Upon arrival check into the hotel / resort.

After fresh-n-up we will visit to the famous Edakkal caves – 12 kms from Sulthan Bathery. There are three caves located at a height of 1000 mts on Ambukuthi mala near Ambalavayal. The new Stone Age pictographic writings on the walls of these natural caves at Edakkal are the indication of the civilizations that existed in the regions in the pre-historic times. Later return to the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 6  : Wayanad

Morning after breakfast, we will go on full day local sightseeing of Wayanad, visiting the Chembra peak – At 2100 mts above mean sea level which is ‘trekker’s paradise’, having incredible scenic beauty. From Chembra hill, we get the view of Neelimala viewpoint and Vaduvanchal which is an excellent venue for trekking with lots of inspiring trails. 

Day 7  : Wayanad – Kozhikode

After breakfast drive to Kozhikode; en route visit Pazhassiraja Museum & Art Gallery, (5 Km from the town) that displays historic bronzes, coins, megalithic relics, murals and paintings by artists of Kerala. Mananchira Square is at the heart of Kozhikode and Mananchira tank which used to be the private bath of the Samuthiris. Upon arrival transfer to the hotel. Evening free to enjoy the Kappad beach. On the Kappad Beach there is a small stone monument to commemorate Vasco da Gama’s arrival to India. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 8  : Kozhikode – Guruvayoor

After breakfast drive to Guravayoor. Upon arrival check into the hotel. After fresh-n-up we will go on sightseeing tour around Guruvayoor – a thriving township in Trichur district, Guruvayoor is known for its scenic beauty and serenity. The place is noted for the Guruvayurappan Temple, Anakotta – Guruvayoor Devaswom elephant sanctuary – one of the largest elephant sanitarium in all over the world. Also known as Punnathurkotta, Anakotta is 3 km far from Guruvayoor Temple. In the evening visit aarti darshan at Guruvayoor Temple. Overnight stay in Guruvayoor.

Day 9  : Guravayoor – Athirappilly

After breakfast we will drive to Athirappilly to have the glimpse of the mighty fall of Athirappilly & Vazhachal. Upon arrival check into the nature resort.

Later enjoy the best of the nature visiting the Athirappilly & Vazhachal water falls. Overnight stay at resort.

Day 10  : Athirappilly – Munnar

After breakfast leave for Munnar, enjoying the scenic beauty & the marvelous waterfalls, high mountains with the low flying clouds passing by. On arrival at Munnar check in at the hotel. In the evening go for sightseeing of Munnar and witness it’s tea gardens spread like a green carpet over hundreds of kilometers, lush green hills, a place so difficult to describe, very low population too far from pollution, most of the covered by Tata tea. Overnight at hotel.

Day 11  : Munnar

Today we will enjoy the sightseeing around Munnar visiting, the Raja Malai, a top peak of Munnar where you can see Neel Thar (mountain goats), Mattupetty dam, Indo Swiss project. In the afternoon enjoy boating in the Lake (optional). Overnight at hotel.

Day 12  : Munnar – Thekkady

After breakfast drive to Thekkady, the largest wildlife sanctuary of Kerala. The 120 years Old Surki dam built across the reserve. The sanctuary is spread over an area of 777 Sq km, surrounded by an artificial lake over an area of 25 sq km. Upon arrival check into the wildlife resort. In the afternoon enjoy the nature trek around the sanctuary. Overnight stay at resort.

The Periyar Tiger Reserve, named after the Periyar River, is one of Kerala’s prestigious possessions on the high ranges of the Western Ghats. Falling in the Idukki district of Kerala, this forest reserve surrounds the Periyar Lake, which was created in 1895 by building a dam across the Periyar river (to divert the water to Tamil Nadu for irrigation). The forests around the lake were declared as Reserved Forests in 1899.

Day 13  : Thekkady – Alleppey

Morning enjoy boat cruise in Periyar lake to have the glimpse of its nature & wildlife.

Later after breakfast drive to Alleppey, the most beautiful tourist center in Kerala state, with a large network of inland canals earning it the synonymous “Venice of the east”. These large networks of canals provide Alleppey its lifeline and immense natural beauty. Upon arrival at boarding jetty check into the house boat. Overnight stay on board.

Day 14  : Alleppey – Cochin

After breakfast disembark the houseboat and drive to Cochin. Upon arrival transfer to the hotel. After fresh-n-up we will go on city sightseeing tour of Cochin. Later in the evening transfer to the hotel for night stay.

Day 15  : Thekkady – Alleppey

Transfer to the airport on time to board the flight for onward destination.
